Dissolve gulaman powder in boiling water, stirring for 2 minutes to be sure to dissolve all crystals. A rubber spatula works well to dissolve crystals.
Set in 30 minutes method, dissolve 1 package gulaman powder in 1 cup boiling water. Add 2 cups ice cubes. Stir until gulaman thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove only unmelted ice. chill 30 minutes.
gulaman by preparing as directed on package, reducing cold water to 3/4 cup. pour into a shallow pan and chill until firm, about 2 hours. To flake, break jelly into small flakes with fork or whisk and file lightly into dishes, alone or with fruit or cream.
Prepare gulaman cubes. When gulaman set-up firmly, cut into small cubes using a sharp knife that has been dipped in hot water. To remove cubes from pan, quickly dip pan in warm water and remove with lifter. serve with cream and fruits if desired.
Fold whipped topping into partially set gulaman, use rubber spatula and fold using an over and under motion, being careful not to mix but fold. for a smooth mixture, be sure gulaman is partially set, not to firm or your mixture will be lumpy.
